    Charcoal

    My black-and-white portraits focus on form, contrast, and facial expression to convey personality and spirit. With a particular focus on eye detail, I render the subject with tenderness and simplicity and capture a moment in time in its brevity.

    Color

    My color portraits are done in pastel, acrylic, oil, or mixed-media, depending on subject and mood, and make use of hue for emotion and depth. I use color and brushstroke to emphasize skin tone and to capture light that comes from without and within.
